As noted previously, there were some issues regarding new versions of Firefox and Thuderbird. Now although I am using a variety of email programs parallely (to be up-to-date which one performs how well so that I can distinguish criticism from FUD), I do prefer Mozilla Suite. Just having "open link in new tab" as a context menu option in the mail program is a must for me.
Unfortunately, the newly-released Mozilla 1.7.10 does work very poorly on my machine, including two extremely annoying bugs. However I was thrilled to see Asa Dotzler blog about exactly these two bugs ... and a new release 1.7.11 coming up quite soon. So no need to completely switch to Outlook 2003 yet, but still extremely annoying.

Waiting for Firefox 1.0.5
On July 12th, Updates for Firefox (to 1.0.5) and Thunderbird (to 1.0.5, as well) were released. Unfortunately, as of now, only the English language versions. As the download pages for Firefox and Thunderbird show, all the other language versions are at 1
