Firefox 2.0.0.4 has just been released and is already distributed via the update function in the browser. The
release notes list, among other things, several security fixes (including a "nice" XSS vulnerability when adding JavaScript handlers) and a better support for Windows Vista.
The only sad thing is that once again the Java console plugin is marked incompatible, since Sun somehow refuses to use something like
2.* or
2.0.* as the
maxVersion value. However according to
this bug report, the upcoming version 6.0u2 (no release date set yet) will bump this to 5.0 (WTF?!).
